2016 09-19 Thunder and Hard Rain turning to winter
Where I live, when the seasons begin to shift from summer to winter, the first rains of fall are hard. For a few years I wanted to capture this . On September 19th, 2016, just as I began to hear a rain storm start, I ran and set up my Zoom H2n. What I caught proved to be pure luck! I wanted the hard rain, what I got was an aural arc — rain starting, turning hard, thunder, and ultimately the rain dropping off to a gentle fall.
This was a good week for AOR recording because I also caught the Water Drums recording on September 26th in North Bend — which I wanted to get for easily 10 years. Now that I have my first recipe book completed and published there are a number of AOR albums I have lined up to finish — these are chief among them.
